This is a quick little video demonstrating a blueprint render created in Blender 3D.

Settings:

Apply a blue world colour and apply exactly the same colour to the object you are rendering. set this material to be shadeless in the shading panel for the material.
Set edge rendering to be on in the post processing panel of the render settings tab.
Play around with the threshold value, low values will render less of the mesh and high values, more.
To decrease render times delete lights etc as they wont have any effect.
